And Just Like That…

Per my usual it is start over time. I feel like I am constantly starting over. Every little thing seems to throw me off for the past few years and I don’t get it, so time to ground and center and get back to being me. The whole teach online thing, though, that was crazy. I stopped all online activity except teaching and creating because I was screen weary at the end of the day/week. That is where I was at. Now, it I summer and I have taken a week to not do anything. Time to get back at … Continue reading And Just Like That…

End of the month reflection…

So, here we are, at the end of January. I am at a conference tomorrow and am not sure how much time I will have or if I will have any time to get a blog post up, so I am reflecting and writing today. It was a great month, a tough month, a look at yourself month, a begin again and then again month. In short, it was a typical January. The good thing about Januarys is that they are followed by Februarys. The shortest month of the year, the best month to keep going, because it is easier … Continue reading End of the month reflection…

I Control My Perspective

What I see, how I see it, what is makes me feel/think, that is all within my control. There is nothing buy my own thoughts, feelings, and look on the world that tells me how to see something, except of course when I allow those things to jade me. Thank You Notes

I was recently reminded that taking the time to hand-write a note of thanks, or thinking of you, is extremely important. Writing connects our bodies to our brains and our brains to our emotions. We often talk of journeying to get our feeling out. Well that shows in what you write. The act of writing a note to someone, even “have a nice day”, makes you smile, makes them smile and reminds everyone that no matter how bad there is someone who cares. The handwriting, the penmanship, the ink color, all bring the emotions and sentiment to life. A … Continue reading Thank You Notes

Write It Down

Journaling…what does it mean to you? As I have been using my planners and keeping track of things, one of the things that I love most about both planners I am using is that they have review of the week, and daily “what are you excited about” and “what will you improve on” and “wins for today”.  In addition, I bought the Danielle LePorte Planner and I have washi taped the “schedule” section and use it for daily reflection.  The whole set up is designed in such a way that it is perfect for daily journaling. It asks for … Continue reading Write It Down
