Summer Self-Confidence Ritual

Summer Self-Confidence Ritual Well we are officially into the summer season, even with the strangeness of the world around us, we want to be out and about, feeling good and soaking up those rays of sunshine and that fresh summer air. However, if you are anything like me, the COVID-19 has hit your emotions and confidence.  When we are surrounded by negative words and fear it feeds into our own energies. So what did I do?  I turned to my favorite candle magick.  I started with a Gold candle (I’ll tell you why in a minute), got out a piece … Continue reading Summer Self-Confidence Ritual

Summer Solstice/Litha

Good Morning! I hope your day is as beautiful as mine is here in Northern California. What a great way to swing into the Summer Solstice season. How are you celebrating? Will you be joining a ritual? I have two, one this afternoon and one tomorrow. Today’s will be at the @sagedapp (this is a great community that has an incredible free offering) and tomorrow will be with my Sacred Mists community. Both are going to be fantastic. Different in many ways, and yet both fulfilling. I am excited to be starting with Summer Solstice as my renewal season. I … Continue reading Summer Solstice/Litha

And Just Like That…

Per my usual it is start over time. I feel like I am constantly starting over. Every little thing seems to throw me off for the past few years and I don’t get it, so time to ground and center and get back to being me. The whole teach online thing, though, that was crazy. I stopped all online activity except teaching and creating because I was screen weary at the end of the day/week. That is where I was at. Now, it I summer and I have taken a week to not do anything. Time to get back at … Continue reading And Just Like That…

Recipes for Ostara

We are fast coming up on one of my favorite holidays, Ostara.  When Spring officially begins, we are in balance with light and dark, and Eostre is awakening Mother Earth after her sleep.  It is time to begin planting, watch the new generations of animals be born, and enjoy some of the best foods. This is time of creation, and since we want to prepare in advance to work on the day of, I thought I would give you some of my favorite recipes.   Some of these I have modified (and will credit the original creator) and others are just … Continue reading Recipes for Ostara

Vacation was fabulous!

So the great thing about where I work is that we have these random weeks off. Not just the standard school breaks at the holidays, but weeks in the middle of February, which is awesome! This past week my husband and I went to New Orleans. We got there on a Saturday early afternoon and left Thursday late. This meant that we got to the enjoy the Mardi Gras spirit and early parades without the craziness of all the 20 somethings during actual Mardi Gras weekend. It was amazing. I have never been, so we literally spend 5 days in … Continue reading Vacation was fabulous!

Oh Universe…

Today is the day I choose to reflect on what is working and what isn’t working for me. Interestingly enough the Word of the Day is Balance. While that may seem easy, for someone who is always 100% into everything, and has 100 irons in the fire, it is almost impossible to do. So, I am working on what I can cut out, hand off, or postpone until such a time as I am able to actually devote time to it. One thing that has definitely suffered is my house and my husband. So cutting out a few of the … Continue reading Oh Universe…

Done!

Or so the cards all told me today. This morning both Judgment and The World appeared, right after Networking was the word of the day. All 3 of these cards revolve around starting something new. Stating that I have finished a cycle and need to stretch out and reach beyond those I see everyday. So I suppose that means I need to be looking for what has finished (as it wasn’t super obvious), and begin peering into the future for what it is I am going to be starting next. I did begin networking a little more this morning (before … Continue reading Done!

Fri-Yay!

So I know it is a bit cliche, but with the week I’ve had. Let’s just say that the trouble with getting trouble is it doesn’t change, and that continues to be the case. However, my word for the day, by choice, is resilience. The ability to power through, carry on, be better, grow, move forward, and in general, get to the wine portion of the day. Of course, I drew later in the day when I was calmer in state of mind, and out pops this adorable Knight of Wands, saying “hey, I have great things coming and you … Continue reading Fri-Yay!

Tuesday as Monday…

So here we are, the first work day of my week. I have now been hit with 3 surprises, and some conflicting information. Always fun. Good thing my word for the day was Focus, and my card pull was The High Priestess. I put my focus word to good use. Closed out all the apps I was using to distract myself, grabbed some quartz to carry around and use as a focus object, and got to work making sure I was totally prepared for the rest of the week. Now I can make sure that the new student teachers I … Continue reading Tuesday as Monday…
