Summer Self-Confidence Ritual

Summer Self-Confidence Ritual Well we are officially into the summer season, even with the strangeness of the world around us, we want to be out and about, feeling good and soaking up those rays of sunshine and that fresh summer air. However, if you are anything like me, the COVID-19 has hit your emotions and confidence.  When we are surrounded by negative words and fear it feeds into our own energies. So what did I do?  I turned to my favorite candle magick.  I started with a Gold candle (I’ll tell you why in a minute), got out a piece … Continue reading Summer Self-Confidence Ritual

New Space

Hello! I am so excited to be here again. I am working on getting a schedule down. I don’t have it quite yet, but I promise it will be more regular, even if it is just a quick recipe for an upcoming Sabbat, or a happy Full Moon Blessings. Right now, I have just received the landscaping plans for my back yard and I can’t be more excited because there is going to be a fire pit/altar area in the back of it which means I will have some outdoor area that will be dedicated to practicing my way of … Continue reading New Space

Summer Solstice/Litha

Good Morning! I hope your day is as beautiful as mine is here in Northern California. What a great way to swing into the Summer Solstice season. How are you celebrating? Will you be joining a ritual? I have two, one this afternoon and one tomorrow. Today’s will be at the @sagedapp (this is a great community that has an incredible free offering) and tomorrow will be with my Sacred Mists community. Both are going to be fantastic. Different in many ways, and yet both fulfilling. I am excited to be starting with Summer Solstice as my renewal season. I … Continue reading Summer Solstice/Litha

Done!

Or so the cards all told me today. This morning both Judgment and The World appeared, right after Networking was the word of the day. All 3 of these cards revolve around starting something new. Stating that I have finished a cycle and need to stretch out and reach beyond those I see everyday. So I suppose that means I need to be looking for what has finished (as it wasn’t super obvious), and begin peering into the future for what it is I am going to be starting next. I did begin networking a little more this morning (before … Continue reading Done!

The Universe is Speaking…

Listen. So today’s Word of the Day is Outlets. That is in reference to doing things outside of what causes you stress! That’s right, I was told by the Universe to go out and be creative; to allow those things that are building up inside of me to flow freely and in the process get better at something, or create something, or simply move so that th energy isn’t staying pent up. What perfect timing as the extra assignment I got is not going well, and causing extreme stress. So what is it I want to do today? Well I … Continue reading The Universe is Speaking…

Fri-Yay!

So I know it is a bit cliche, but with the week I’ve had. Let’s just say that the trouble with getting trouble is it doesn’t change, and that continues to be the case. However, my word for the day, by choice, is resilience. The ability to power through, carry on, be better, grow, move forward, and in general, get to the wine portion of the day. Of course, I drew later in the day when I was calmer in state of mind, and out pops this adorable Knight of Wands, saying “hey, I have great things coming and you … Continue reading Fri-Yay!

When It All Connects

I love it when I do multiple things, pull cards from multiple decks, or different kinds of decks and the whole world just connects itself to the energy. It has not been an easy start to the year 2020. With the word of the year being LOOK, and me taking the time to really look at what is around me, and within me, I realized how much work there is. That of course overwhelmed me, so I had to pull back and think a little about how to approach it all. Today was the first day I pulled any cards. … Continue reading When It All Connects

Holiday Season Blahs

It is that time. Samhain has been celebrated in the most glorious of fashions and now we run across the holidays that seem to all be crammed into a tight space. Veteran’s Day was fabulous, with thanks given to those in our lives, and simply to those in general, who served. This is always a favorite of mine as my dad and my father-in-law served, as well as many others I know, and my son is currently serving. After that brief flash of inspiration though, we begin the American Thanksgiving, Yule, Christmas, New Year’s crush of depression, weight of the … Continue reading Holiday Season Blahs

Who Are You?

As we sit in our offices, on our couches, in our cars, at our desks, we define ourselves in different ways. These are often simple masks we wear to fit what it is others expect of us, or that we must project based on the situation. All totally understandable, but what happens when you begin to lose who you are to these masks? When you forget to take one mask off before donning another, and they blend to a point where you can’t get out from under either? These are scary questions, as I often feel this way. I have … Continue reading Who Are You?

Working With Teenagers

Some days working with teenagers invigorates me and creates a sense of energy that I can use to get through several days, other times working with teenagers drains me of the energy I had to make it to the next day, leaving exhausted for days on end. Every day working with teenagers I learn something about them, myself, and the world. High school students have a unique perspective on what is happening in the world, their lives, the classroom, and even, yes, their teachers’ lives. They bring such a different look into what is going on. Today my students are … Continue reading Working With Teenagers
