Late Nights

Ah the joys of sleep…what are those?  Today, I couldn’t tell you.  After a wonderful evening out, a little shopping, some hanging out with the kids before they went off to do their own thing, up to bed I went.  Hubby turned on a movie I wasn’t even interested in seeing so he could go to sleep and I closed my eyes.  Then I opened them, less than 30 seconds later.  He was already asleep…granted he had worked the night before and had not done any sleeping yet, so I can understand that.  I don’t begrudge him sleeping when he … Continue reading Late Nights

Self-Loathing

You know when it is really bad and you can’t see past all the things you have done wrong, or you haven’t listened to, or you didn’t get done? Those times when it seems like you are more of a burden and create more of a hassle for others than helping and taking care of yourself and your business? Yeah, me too. When it seems like just emptying the dishwasher and making dinner are taking up so much energy there isn’t anything left to do what you wanted to get done. Last night didn’t see me clearing away space in … Continue reading Self-Loathing

Meditation

We all know we should, even if it isn’t part of a religious practice, it is now common knowledge that meditation, or purposeful breathing, is a practice every person should put into their day for at least 15 minutes. A New Day, A New Start

Every day is a New Day and a New Start.  Never let yourself get so far down that you forget that the chance to start again, with a different attitude, even if it is to the same place, is literally coming in the morning. This is something I have been reminding myself every day for the past few months.  Even as I pull tarot cards, sit at the altar, and continue on my studies at Sacred Mists, I find myself needing the reminder that it isn’t this way everyday.  I make myself feel better by applying for jobs I want, … Continue reading A New Day, A New Start

Overload…

AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Have you ever just wanted to scream at the top of your lungs from overload?  It just seems that everything is too much, even getting up in the morning?  I think we all have if we are honest, at least with ourselves, even if we don’t voice it. Yesterday I talked about working and “working”.  Taking it all on and maybe too much.  Luckily for me right now it isn’t, but I know people who do.  However, that doesn’t mean that I don’t still feel overwhelmed with what I have to do.  Sometimes my to do list is a … Continue reading Overload…

Feeling Successful – Falsely

Today was a great day!  I set out to do 6 things on my list and I got them all done!  I am a success! Yes! I’m Great! Wouldn’t that be an awesome thing to say and think and feel.  Well for me it is true.  I did get everything done today that I set out to do, including going to my tattoo appointment alone, something I hadn’t done before.  I am having my entire back and butt covered with a personal image the artist plucked from my mind.  I hate pain and this is my first tattoo, so usually … Continue reading Feeling Successful – Falsely
