The Quest Tarot

I have decided that the tarot deck to use for my Tarot Study is The Quest Tarot. This is a deck and companion book, The Compass, created by Joseph Earnest Martin. He created this deck after a renowned psychic asked him what was stopping him from doing it. Once he figured that out, the rest was his journey on this path.

I love this deck. I have had it for several years and have even done readings with it. I have never taken the time to do an in-depth study of each card in order though. This is a semi-traditional deck that also includes astrology signs, I-Ching symbols, has a Hebrew letter, a yes/no feature, the gemstone influences and the gemstone association and a rune symbol. Taking the time to study each of these cards on a deeper level will also help me to learn and understand better other aspects of divination as well.

I am excited to embark on this journey for my own learning, but also to bring you with me. Perhaps this will be a deck you decide you want to look into, or if you aren’t a tarot reader, maybe this will interest you, or if not perhaps give you some personal insight into something else.

Here is the blank card along with the front of the Comanion book.

Don’t mind the couch. It is time to get a new one. I will be taking a picture of each card as I go through, so you can see the things I refer to in my study, as well as just enjoy the art.

Today, for uplifting as I made the decision on the deck, I mixed lemon and wild orange essential oils in the diffuser. The house smells citrusy and yet you feel as if you could go to the moon and back. Uplifted and energetic…that’s what those will do for you.

I don’t have my own daily tarot card as I have done 11 readings for others in the past 2.5 days and I helped my son with some rune readings. I would leave you with the blank card. Let today be the day for reflection.

Tarot, Tarot and a little more Tarot!

So, I did it. I bit the bullet and joined the Tarot Reader’s Academy Summer School. That’s 13 Tarot courses on a variety of topics starting Solstice (June 21).

I am very excited to begin this next advancement in my Tarot journey and learn from a large variety of well known experts and practitioners in the field. The other thing that excites me about all of this is the sharing with you that I will get to do.

I am also going to start a 78 day tarot study and place it here. This is something else I am excited to be sharing. Beginning Monday, and the 77 days following, I will be posting about each of the tarot cards. Not until Monday because I need to go through my decks and see which one I would like to do this with. I only have 100 or so to choose from. I was planning on going through then this summer anyways, so why not this week/weekend?

I hope that as I study and learn I can pass new knowledge on to those of you who are here. That has always been my goal with the blog. I will be using meditations and diffusers with all I do, so you can still expect information on essential oils and blends, and great places for meditations.
